The WinTV-CI unlocks the option of receiving the massive selection of digital “Pay TV” services available through both satellite (DVB-S) and terrestrial (DVB-T) broadcasts through your WinTV tuner card.

WinTV-CI is a USB2.0 device that provides a slot for a Conditional Access Module (CAM), which is used to decode the information from your subscription card. You should chose your CAM based on it’s compatibility with your selected subscription card, as different providers use various different encryption types; therefore requiring different CAM’s (consult your service provider and the lists below for information about compatible CAM’s).

Use the WinTV-CI with either the WinTV software provided, or with Windows Media Center* giving you the power to watch, pause, rewind and record your TV shows with the addition of “Pay TV”, when combined with a valid subscription card and compatible CAM.

Notes:

• To use the WinTV-CI within Windows Media Center a plug-in is required, please see our support section for the download and details on how to install this.
• Other CAM's may work but are untested.

System Requirements

• Compatible WinTV card.
• In addition to the system requirements of your WinTV card:
  • Microsoft® Windows® 7 (32/64bit), Vista (32/64bit) or Windows XP Service Pack 3.
  • USB 2.0 port (will not work with USB 1.1).
  • Compatible CA-Module with Smartcard.
