WinTV7 will not install correctly on fresh install of WinXP Pro SP3

After having used WinTV7 on my machine with a HVR2200 card for many years, I find I can't get it to install cleanly on the machine since I reinstalled WinXP Pro with SP3.

Every version I try gives an application error when the WinTV systray app attempts to start.

I've been at this for hours and have tried uninstalling using the hcwclear app as well as using add remove programs... I've been through all versions of the install CD image from 2.2b onwards... I always get an error when the systray app starts just before the "register your card" dialogue... On the next reboot the systray app also throws the same error and the main application will not start!

Solved the problem... my install of MS office 2K pro had become corrupted... after uninstalling office and cleaning up the registry the latest version of WinTV 7 installed without a problem... I think it was ultimately a problem with Access and the way WinTV accesses the channel database.
