    Default WinTV-NOVA-TD 500 Aerial connectors

    Hi,

I bought a Nova-TD 500 a few years back that had one aerial connector. Now they seem to ship with 2. Can someone explain why there are now two, and whether both need to be connected? Is one a pass-through?

    Cheers,

    Ben

With either there is only 1 aerial connection that is used as the signal is split internally (Current ones only have 1 connection, old ones had 2).

The top socket is for the normal 2 tuner card, the bottom one is for Diversity mode, ie poor signal..
From the box, "you have to use 2 antennas to produce a better quality signal." hence 2 sockets.
