    Default Ubuntu and HVR3000 how to ...

    Is there an easy to follow guide on getting Hauppauge cards, particularly HVR3000, to work under Ubuntu?

    The information I have found so far assumes knowledge that I don't have.

    One application finds analogue (old VCR input as composite but no sound). A channel scan failed (seems to be analogue only) and is now locked out.

    MythTV asks for a set of parameters but no explanation of what they are or where to find out what to set them to.
