Missing Channel 4 HD Freesat

My 4000 and 4400 cards report no channel on the setting for Channel 4 HD. Worked okay last week end.

I tried a rescan and it has some new channels but Channel 4 remains where it was and doesn't work.

Have they moved the frequencies again?

Me too on my 4000 card. I know that Channel 4 have moved from 'S2' to 'S' but I can't get it tuned in - is there something you need to modify with WinTV7 ? I appreciate that you're busy with all the DSO (Digital Switch Over) changes but anything you can do to assist will be most welcome. Thanks in adevance....Chris

I tried deleting Channel 4 HD and re-scanning - nothing found.

I deleted the channel database and rescanned everything - still no Channel 4 HD.

C:\Users\Public\WinTV\satellites.xml Look for
<transponder frequency="11126000" symbol_rate="22000000" polarization="V" fec_inner="2/3" broadcast_type="DVB-S2" modulation="8PSK" pilot="-1" rolloff="35"></transponder>

change to
<transponder frequency="11126000" symbol_rate="22000000" polarization="V" fec_inner="5/6" broadcast_type="DVB-S" modulation="QPSK" pilot="-1" rolloff="35"></transponder>

rescan DVB-S. You may have to delete Channel 4 HD so that it does not ignore the paramaeter change - as I have done that already I can't easily retest.

Seems to work.
I get 1920x1080, same at ITV1 HD where as BBC One HD and BBC HD are 1440x1080.

I wrote to Channel 4 to ask where I can receive advance notice of changes in parameters and frequencies prior to them changing.

"Thank you for your further email.

May we advise that we are not in a position to inform you when Channel 4 HD changes parameters via the equipment that you are using as you do not receive the signal directly from us, and it is not ourselves that implements these changes.

In this instance, you would be required to contact the company from whom you receive your signal.

We are sorry we could not be of assistance in this matter.

If that is the case from whom do I receive the channel? Is there a "Freesat" company who force the changes on the broadcaster and not informing them?

Now I just need to edit 'satellites.xml' correctly to accomodate the recent relocation of CBS Reality and I'll be sorted. Any help you can give would be welcome as I'm sure Mr X is inundated at the moment.

CD 2.5a has the updated satellites.xml for Channel 4 HD. You will need to delete the existing channel entry for it, since the SID is the same, so it will skip it otherwise, as it thinks you have that channel already.

CBS Reality is on 11344.00 H - which should be found by the app. You may need to delete the old entry first.

I deleted CBS Reality and CBS Reality +1, only the latter re-appeared after the scan (3000, Win XP).

I am downloading 2.5a so will have the new satellite list.
