HVR4000 not picking up signals
Hello. I have a hvr 4000 which i acquired via ebay. I fitted it, drivers and software seem to go in ok but no signals on digital tv or analog radio. couldn't try satellite as i don't have a system. I have both xp pro service pack 3 32 bit and windows 7 64 bit. neither pick up anything but both see the card. turned on the advanced logging but the logs are gibberish to me. I installed the drivers and software straight from the disk which is 7.2.28 with extend. I don't think it''s an electrical fault as i doubt all services would be down. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Have you downloaded the latest WinTV 7 cd from the support site and installed it ? also try changing the PCI slot that the card is in,

I only have the one free slot. the other is covered by my pci express graphics card. I tried installing the cd i downloaded from there and it kept saying please insert the original cd even though it was already in. The pci slot works as it was the one with my spare sound card in. i used that the previous day, I tried third party player software and that didn't find any channels either. The system sees the car but the card won't see a signal.
