WinTV v7 & USB2-Live Audio Bitrate

I have a WinTV USB2-Live capture device and am using WinTV v7 2.5. I have noticed that WinTV v7 is capturing audio at 128 kbps MP2. Is there a way to increase the bitrate of the audio captured in WinTV v7? I'm not sure if this is a limitation of WinTV or my device. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am using the "Best" quality setting in settings.

If you add this reg key it should work

If your capture process isn't exactly "CaptureGenUSB.exe" in Task Manager then you need to edit the .reg file before importing it to match exactly

change this line:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MainConcept (HCW)\MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder\CaptureGenUSB.exe]

e.g. it could be called CAPTUR~2.exe

so you'd need to change it to

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MainConcept (HCW)\MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder\CAPTUR~2.exe]

I'll see if we can make it configurable via the normal TVServer registry keys for a future release but this should work.

Thanks for the reply. I tried adding these keys to the registry but it is still outputting audio at 128 kbps. My capture process is CaptureGenUSB.exe for sure. I have tried restarting the PC as well after making the changes. I noticed there is also a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MainConcept (HCW)\MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder\WinTV7.exe key that gets updated each time that WinTV v7 is started. If any settings are changed in there, they revert back to default. Could it possibly be trying to use the WinTV7.exe settings even though the CaptureGenUSB.exe settings in there? According to the WinTV7.exe key it should be using 8 kbps as the bit rate if I'm understanding how the key is stored so I don't think it's using that bitrate.

CD 2.5a has this configurable via the normal TVServer keys and "Best" mode uses 192K now. Should be up next week.

No it's the CaptureGenUSB.exe that uses the Encoder filter. Can you export your reg key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MainConcept (HCW)\MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder\ and zip it and attach it for me to check?
