WinTV v7 wont run on 64 BIT, Windows 7, HVR 950Q tuner
I first installed WinTV v6 which came with 950Q ATSC TV tuner. All seemd to work correctly. Then I decided to update to v7. I removed v6 using the "hcwclear" file. I installed v7 from the hauppauge website (drivers & application). Program seemed to install successful.
When I start the program, it stops almost immediately (during "connecting to Tv services..."). The error message is "WinTV7 has stopped working" "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly...".
I worked on this with Hauppauge in NY, and UK last year for nearly a month. Then seemed we gave up. But I decided to try it again. I am also waiting for Hauppauge tech support on this, but so far no solution is found.
Im using a clean laptop, 64 BIT.OS is Window 7 Home Premium. We tried as adminstrator, and disabled Anti-Virus, no other problem with this machine. The last time they suspect dll files problem. I REALLY dont want to reload Windows 7.
The WinTV v7 DOES seem to work correctly on my 32 BIT desktop computer.
Also, I observed when using other TV software applications, it also doesnt run correctly when the WinTv v7 drivers are installed.
Here is log file:

Re: WinTV v7 wont run on 64 BIT, Windows 7, HVR 950Q tuner
ok, I got it working with V7 drivers , after doing WINDOWS 7 REPAIR INSTALL, must of been missing a dll file.
Anyway, now th eproblem is I cant use the Safeley Remove Hardware Eject Media on the USB stick, it gives message cant stop 950Q , another program is using it....
The device appears in listed devices, USB drivers are up to date & working...any idea how to get it to EJECT correctly, Im not sure if just pulling it out of the USB, will cause hardware issues ? Thanks
Im using Port #1, HUB #4...on laptop with USB extender wire attached.

you do not need to stop it to remove it. If your really scared though just shut the PC down then remove
