After scanning the forum and then the remainder of the web I have not been able to locate a user manual that fits the current version of TME supplied with the PVR. There are certain selectable features that are NOT explained iether in the manual supplied or the help files included with TME. Anyone with any luck ?

jegan,
As I pointed out : "There are certain selectable features that are NOT explained iether in the manual supplied or the help files included with TME." Button items such as "Hardware acceleration", and all the video and device options.
Hardware acceleration makes use of some graphics cards onboard decoders to reduce cpu usage. Please specify what options you are referencing.
1. So the application assumes hardware acceleration (GPU) even if the graphics card is not capable ?
2. Please refer to the 3 attachments.
In the encoder properties tab the following need explanation:
- boost analog audio input level.
- disable bling LED.
- effect of constant versus variable bit rates.
In the Video Proc Amp section:
- what is the "AUTO" option on the right hand side ?
In the Video decoder section:
- there are a large number of "Video Standard". None are explained.
- VCR Input and OUTPUT enable need explanation.
If the card is not capable then it simply uses the cpu.
boost analog audio boosts audio levels when using analog audio (red and white in)
The bling led is the led on the top of the hd-pvr

Auto in prcoamp does nothing for this product
Video standard is not used this is instead determined by the source material.
VCR input is not used
Thank you. I was fully aware of all the items you listed - Ive been a long time HD editor and am quite familiar with all the terms. The obvious point in all this is why was this important info not listed on the user manual ? The lack of it degrades the rest of the manual and the product's overall image. And the developer of the app is even worse for info on their legacy products.
Three more items that should have been listed in the user manual :
1. If one is switching from one type of input to another it is advisable to power off reset the PVR. Jerky video is the results if not done so.
2. If either the USB cable is unplugged OR the PVR is powered off while the capture software is active (in idle) Windows 7 will freeze !
3. To switch aspect ratios one must disconnect the source from the PVR, power off/on PVR, then reconnect PVR.
