Wintv 2.4 d update settins.xml

At each update i have the same problem since day one.
I wonder why at each update i have to manually edit the settings.xml file to get it work ??

What exactly are you manually editing in that file?

everything after
"</Settings>"
normaly it is only one line at the end of file. i don't remember it now. I will tell you at the next update!
He, I look in the recylce bin and it there!
so i delete this line at the end:
<PictureInPictureEnabled>false</PictureInPictureEnabled>

Or when I start wintv I have the error of xml file is corrupt!

Ah, right. Sorry, thats not something I can look at (more of an installer problem than a WinTV problem), but I know Mr X has on his list of things to investigate, so hopefully he'll be able to find a solution for you. This post will serve as a reminder for him. He's away for a couple of weeks at the moment though.

I don't think they read post. It is a hold problem.
Or Mr X must be very busy. The problem was like that still day one...
For normal user. After the first update the hauppauge is not working anymore. It is not a small problem, but it is a small solution..

Mr X and I both read the WinTV posts, and we try to help where we can. I know he has put some time into investigating this problem, but I dont think he was able to reproduce it. I'll send him a reminder note to see if he has had any fresh ideas on it.
