Re: iOS 5: not working
works so far but i think the wintv iphone app on the appstore also needs an updat because it sems to be loading a little slow between channels and also stuttering a little,,,also for the channel listing coming up is a little slower than on 4.3.3 iphone firmware

Re: iOS 5: not working
We've been focussed on the Safari version for testing. We are testing the app fully at the moment. Work is still going on, will post if we have any updates

The new method we're having to use for streaming is definitely slower between channels. Unfortunately this is a problem of Apple's making and not much we can do about it. They're effectively wanting to buffer 10-12 seconds of video before they'll show anything now.
You might be thinking "but I've seen other video start quicker", but this is typically pre-encoded video, where the whole video is already available and ready to download. ie, that 10-12 seconds of video is downloaded in the first half second or so, then playback begins as downloading the rest of the video continues. Obviously you cant do that with live video, where you have to wait 10-12 seconds to get the first 10-12 seconds of video.

Re: iOS 5: not working
Just doing some testing with 2.4d over my lunch hour at home. Wintv Extend on iphone 4 and ipad 2 both running iOS 5. All testing on wifi on home network. Start of stream was as expected much slower to start. I don't know about 10 seconds, but definitely more than 5. I noticed as well that there are fewer bit rate profiles in settings now. The 2056 kbps bit rate is gone (I assume this was intended). It looks like 1024 is now the max. When using 1024 on the local profile the iphone streams it fine, and about 50% CPU usage (average of both cores) on my older AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+ processor. When moving to the ipad 2, the 1024 profile pegs my CPU usage at 100%. Everything else seems to be working well.

Re: iOS 5: not working
I'm getting only the upper left quadrant of the picture on ATSC HD channels (SD channels are fine) and the picture is severely pixelated. The time to start the stream is not bad.

Re: iOS 5: not working
You'd probably need to supply a short sample recording so I can try it here.

Re: iOS 5: not working
Hi, I am experiencing the same problem mentioned above. Streaming works fine for analog channels, but all of my HD channels are showing just the upper left hand corner. I noticed this streaming to both on my iphone and my pc. Below is a screenshot from my pc. Thanks for all your work on this!

Re: iOS 5: not working
can you make a small recording and attach it (if it's under 10Mb you can attach it)

Re: iOS 5: not working
No profiles were removed unless you editied your extend.xml file yourself? I'll add the 2MB profile in for the next release anyhow.
If people want to try reducing the buffer size you can edit it in Extend.xml and change the value for the profile your using. Feel free to report any lower values that work reliably. (i.e. runs for hours) - we are testing lower values for the release version too, but wanted to get something out for people to use.
