Default Wintv 7.0.2 does not show analogue tv option to scan

Wintv 7.0.2 does not show analogue tv option to scan, though i'm using HVR-900 usb device. The only opyion it shows is DVB-T which is no use to me since i'm using analouge connection.
i'm running windows 7 (x64) and the drivers install perfectly fine.

    any help please...

From memory, the analog audio on this device worked quite differently to other deivces, so wasnt supported in WinTV7 for analog. Unfortunately you'd need to use the older WinTV6 software that came with the device if you need analog. Sorry.

    thanks for the info.
so which version of HVR (usb) product is recommended to work with WinTv7 including the support for analogue tv and extend feature?

    and one thing more...

In windoes Media Center, my tuner scans fine and shows the picture, but it doesn't give sound
i have tried all the options in WMC to fix this, but no luck
    any suggestions?

    thanks

Pretty much any of the devices that ship with WinTV7 will be fine for this. For external USB, this means HVR-900H or HVR-1900. If you're main focus will be analog, and you also want to use Extend, then the HVR-1900 would probably the best, since it's hardware encoder will mean a lot lower CPU while recording/watch (leaving more CPU for Extend to do it's thing).

I'm not sure about WMC question.
