What you describe sounds similar to what I have observed:
I've seen that happen with WinTV7 under Windows XP 32bit if the first channel selected after bootup is a digital(QAM) channel. I see a message that its "tuning" but doesn't seem to complete that the first time.
Manually switching to a different channel or switching WinTV off and on again seems to get it to work on the digital channel and then you can change to any other channels immediately from then on until the next bootup.
Selecting an analog channel first works the first time however.
For scheduled recordings on digital channels I have to be sure I first run WinTV and get a digital channel to tune, then I can close the application and put the PC into sleep/standby while it waits for the time to record. If I didn't "prime" WinTV first it wouldn't record a digital channel since it couldn't tune it the first time.
I noticed that under Windows 7 64bit however it works on the very first digital channel selected. No special setup for scheduled recordings in this case. Perhaps due to the different drivers used for x64 vs x32, since the application is the same?
ok i understood: was an option called "start automatically live Tv" but my question still here:
how do i reset all configuration/options to the default status.
uninstall and re-install
