    Default 7.2c & d Kill screen saver

I've noticed since installing 7.2c then 7.2d that my default Windows 7 screen saver stops working after any live viewing session in WinTV. If I record in background it's stable, but after I've watched live TV the screen saver never activates.

This is just the regular (random text) Window 7 screen saver, nothing 3rd party about it.

Do you mean while WinTV is open it stops the screensaver kicking in? Or do you mean after you close WinTV it still stops the screensaver kicking in?

In CD 2.3e (next download) there is an option in the UI to stop the app preventing the screensaver from kicking in.

    Mr. X,

Sorry, yes I mean after running Win TV and going back to normal Windows apps. the screen saver never activates, or perhaps it tries but it can't. Simply going in to "personalize" and changing the screen saver to a different style or a different number of minutes before activating clears the problem every time.

I should also mention this system is Windows 7/64 bit with ATI Radeon 4650 series video, drivers are V11.3 (current).

    Cheers!

Ah I see, WinTV disables the screesaver when it's run and should re-enable it on exit, appears it's not. We'll look into why.

Can you post the log.txt from the WinTV session that causes the issue?

    Thanks

Sure thing, here's a log file after confirming screen saver operation prior to starting WinTV 7.

Hello, I have the exact same problem .

My screen saver stops working the moment I watch TV using WinTV 7 cd 2.3d.

I tried all the video renderers and tried to deactivate hardware accelerator, but the problem is still there

Did you find a solution to the problem?

Here is my log to, it could help you.

    Thanks.
