You should of also got a small grey or black adapter in the box (S-video to RCA composite) that connects onto the S-video and allows you to connect a composite source.
How is a composite input connect to the S-Video connector on an HVR-1700?
I have been using an old Hauppauge PCI 250, which has a composite input, connected via an RCA plug (I think that is what it is called).
Now I want to use the same input to connect to a Hauppauge HVR-1700. I read that the composite signal is attached via the S-Video socket.
What I want to know is which pins on the S-Video socket do I use, or where can I buy the correct cable adapter.
I have found several composite to S-video cables, but they sound like converters.
Or is there a break out box for the 1700!
