I also have a few channels that say no device available in extend, that are available in wintv, most if not all are HD channels.

When the problem happens, if you wait like 20 seconds and try again, does it work (every time)? I'm guessing it will, and this will give me a clue what is happening.

I have had no device available come up before and if i wait a about a min the channel will be available, but i do have atleast one channel that always says no device available regardless of how long i wait or log back in. Channel works fine in windows version of wintv (latest version). The channel worked fine in the previous version of extend.

I can explain it fixing it self after 20 seconds, which is an internal timeout. It definitely wouldnt require a minute.

This other channel that always does it, reboot, then reproduce the problem on that channel, then post the ExtendStreaming.txt and WinTVTranscode.txt and I'll take a look.

If you do a recording on that channel in WinTV, are you able to view that recording in Extend? If not, make a short recording, and put it somewhere I can download it from, and I'll take a look at it here to work out why.

Can you post the same log files after viewing a recording from the same channel so I can compare?

To be honest, I dont know. Its hard to tell without having access to the same broadcast myself.

If you've got access to a web server, or want to take the time to uploaded to a hosting service like megaupload.com, I could talk you though capturing a full transport stream so that I can reproduce the same live channels here with a signal generator. The file would be about 300-400MB in size.

Which country are you in, and what type of channels are you trying to watch (DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S, ATSC, QAM, Analog)?
