Unknown Device? (Code 43)

I have had my HD-PVR for a about 5-6 months and haven't had any problems... a few days ago I tried to record something and nothing showed up (Not even any options) in the Recording Module. I checked my USB Manager and it says I have an Unknown Device. I tried updating the Drivers but they were up to date. I clicked on the device and it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I have a USB extender thing because the original USB cord wouldn't reach my computer. I don't know if that is the problem or not. Can anyone help?

Just to test try removing the USB extender and see if you get the same problem...

I tried removing it from my computer and disconnecting the PVR cable form the female end of the extender.
