Nova TD-500 : Some channels are not found in "Dual Tuner" mode, why ?
Hi,
I live in France, i use a workstation with WinTV Nova TD-500.
Workstation details : Core2Duo, 4 Go of Ram, Geforce 8600 GT under Win7 64 bit
Win TV details : v7.0.28315 (updated with v2.2 online package from 1.3E HD CD version installation)
Drivers details : v3.11.27187.0 (the lastest available online)
Some channels, located in the same multiplex (mulpltiplex R6 SMR6, french label i figure) are not listed when i do a scan in "Dual Tuner mode" but are properly listed in "Diversity mode" !
This issue occur in WinTV v7, PouchinTv and DVBViewer when i am in "Dual Tuner" mode.
In Diversity mode, i find properly all channels if i do a scan with all applications, so this is not an application issue but a driver issue (my point of view).
If i switch from "Diversity" to "Dual Tuner mode" and try to watch one of the missing channels listed, it doesn't work at all ! So these channels cannot scanned and watched too.
I post you my log with ScanChannelsBDA application in both mode just below :
ScanChannelsBDA in Dual Tuner Mode
ScanChannelsBDA in Diversity
I notice that i have mosaic in image every 5/10 secondes in H264 channels, is it normal ? I notice the same problem with DVBViewer, PouchinTV doesn't have this issue at all and use the same video codec !
I purchase this card for Dual Tuner capabilities and i must use it in mono tuner mode
Does someone can tell me how can i do for use my card in "Dual Tuner" mode please ?

Please see the suggestions here: http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/reception.html#missing
As your having a signal / cabling issue when in Dual Tuner mode (It may even be that you have too strong a signal depending on how far away you are from the transmitter).
