WinTV started crashing, claiming "no signal".
For some reason despite not having changed any settings, WinTV 7 has suddenly started crashing with regular intervals. Sometimes I can watch TV the entire evening without a problem, while other times it crashes every 5-10 minutes for no apparent reason.
The picture just freezes and sound disappears and after a while it says there is "no signal". Changing the channel sometimes gets it working again, other times not while claiming there is "no signal" anywhere - which there is. Restarting the program only works for another couple of minutes.
Sometimes it gets so bad an error message pops up telling me the program has encountered a problem, with the choices to "shut down" or "resume". Resuming only results in the error message popping up again immediately. The funny thing is that sometimes when this error occurs, the video still runs normally in the background, as if the problem is just "imagined".
It almost seems like there might be small discrepancies in the signal quality that throws the program off entirely when it really should just roll on. Though, I'm no expert.

Re: WinTV started crashing, claiming "no signal".
If you can post up the crash (mdmp) file from the Logs Directory\Minidump, we can see why.
Also if you look in Event Viewer it should show what module the app crashed in. e.g.
WinTV7.exe Version 1.0.28033 Crashed in Module psisdecd.dll 5.1.2600.2100

Re: WinTV started crashing, claiming "no signal".
Strangely enough, it seems to have fixed itself or something. Now there are no issues anymore.
I'll be back with the information you requested as soon as it happens again.
Cheers!
