Black Screen skip & audio desync issues

Hi,

I've seen a few other threads that sound somewhat like the issues I am having on here, but still not quite - which is why I opted for a new thread.

My problem as it currently stands is that the HDPVR while recording drops black screens entirely. This means that whenever a black screen occurs on-screen the HDPVR sort of goes into an idle state and resumes onces the black screen is gone. This is very frustrating, as I use this device to record my gaming, PS3, Wii and PS2, all with the exact same issue. This leads me to believe that issue doesn't lie with either the consoles, nor the cables as I use different cables and resolutions for each one of them (PS3 Component 720p, Wii Component 480p, PS2 Composite 480i).

I am using a MacBook Pro and have tried HDPVRCapture as well as EyeTv 3.2.1 both with the exact same results. This issue is PRE-Export. Once I export the file as an MP4 (.h264) the instances where the blackscreen's skipped, will now go out of sync with the audio.

At first I believed this is a Mac issue as the device was designed for Windows. So I installed it on a Windows 7 machine, but it comes down with the exact same results when exporting it via ArcSoft's software.

Is there anyway to fix this? Any help would be great appreciated.

This is something like the problem i have. My problem is the resolution changing to 480 and i get no picture on the tv and it stays at 480 so i have to restart the computer, pvr, ps3 to make it work again.. Sometimes it goes back to 720p and i get the picture back up on the screen.

Hauppauge got a solution for this?
