Gonna bump this. Anybody with any ideas at all? I'm stumped and need some fresh insight.
If I enable Game Mode, with or without "Disable Game Mode recording", I get the first frame of the picture and that's it. The program doesn't freeze as it still reacts to clicking on the controls, it's like the stream just stops. If I disable Game Mode, everything works fine.
I have a WinTV-HVR-1600 hooked up to a STB via the analog cable connection and I'm using WinTV v7 1.3c on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with 4GB of memory. This also occurred on the previous version of WinTV. Based off of some comments in the forums, I tried removing 2GB of memory but still had the same problem.
I've attached a dxdiag.txt with my full system specs as well as logs without Game Mode enabled, with Game Mode enabled, and with Game Mode enabled and Game Mode Recording disabled. I did a full system reboot between each change.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

It could be ffdshow causing the issue, there shouldn't be an Audio decoder in there.
Other suggestion is try editing the Setttings.xml file and remove these two lines

It was the ffdshow. I don't recall installing it, but I uninstalled it and it works perfectly now. Thanks so much!![]()
