WinTV 7 1.3 upgrade to HD
I received today the WinTV v7 HD 1.2D CDROM. I already Have 1.3 installed on both XP and Windows7 (both 32bit, yes I also have XP x64 where WinTV 7 does not work any more). What's best to do?
I guess reinstalling 1.3 with the HD CD inside the cdreader, right?

First I installed wintv application with cd inside, all went ok but then I had it like before, x264 disabled.
Then I installed drivers first, rebooted, installed wintv but all like before again.
The only choice I had was to keep my channels database and I did so, of course.
All in plain Windows XP.
In Windows 7 instead I installed the HD 1.2d CD over the 1.3 and all went well, still not upgraded to 1.3 again.

Re: WinTV 7 1.3 upgrade to HD
did you run a full hcwclear and make sure anything called "Arcsoft Codec" was removed from add/remove programes? Try again then with the CD 1.3 and all should be ok, but do make sure before installing CD 1.3 there is no arcsoft codec listed in add/remove programes
if it doesn't install the H.264 codec post the C:\program files\wintv\wintv7\wintv7.log

Ran hcwclear, rebooted, installed 1.3 and all is ok now, having scanned all channels again.
