The TV displays it perfectly so the problem either comes from HD-PVR <=> PC link or PC drivers/software.?
Updated to latest NVIDIA drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled 1.5.6.1 PVR drivers.
Is there any other software I could use for capturing?
I have a little problem with my recordings. Sometimes, for no reason, the video will be flickering like in this picture (this ISN'T the same issue as the one discussed in the Odd Recording flicker thread) :
http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/4...vrflicker2.jpg (video constantly flickering)
http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/2433/hvpvrnormal.jpg (no flicker at all)
As you can see I just get this problem from time to time, but each time I need to reboot my PVR (and it doesn't even work 100% of time!) to get again a normal picture.
Any suggestions?
( • I've had the Odd Recording flicker before and got rid of it by using old drivers/app. Then I wanted to test the latest drivers/app and the problem hasn't reappeared. Anyway now that I watch my vids taken with old drivers/app, it sometimes had the current flickering problem I have.
• It doesn't come from cables, I have a 2nd HD-PVR waiting to be RMA'd and I have the same problem using the USB cable from it.
• I use component cables, Windows Vista 32bit, Quad Core Q8200, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 9500 GT, ArcSoft TME to capture )

I am using 1.5.6.1 drivers and TME 1.0.9.5, no flickering as yet on Vista x64.
I have tried SageTV but it isn't very user friendly.
I would say it is the latest version of TME causing the issues.
We need something else other than TME to capture.
Happauge surely you will create your own capture software for the HD PVR?
Yet it's the first time I see that problem. Other people get flickering artefacts every x seconds. I have sort of a constant "blur wave" going on the picture…

Any kind of official Hauppauge technician on these forums?
Like everybody else there I spent quite a lot of money on it and all what we get is bad, bad, really bad software support. Such a shame, the HD-PVR is a powerful device.
Bump. Still getting that problem ( Image ) . Watched my old videos, in fact it has always happened randomly, whatever the drivers/software versions were.
Do I need to contact the Hauppauge support?
hard to help from an image, record some video lets look
Youtube: Musicgamesandvideo
Web: Symonator.com
There's no need of a video, just compare the 2 picture, you can see on the 1st one nicknames/times look horrible.
Hauppauge? Where are you?
