Default Total noob needs help(HD question)

I have just installed the HVR-2250 and it works great so far. I was wondering how I would watch shows in HD. Like if a sports show said they were broadcasting a game in HD how would I watch it in HD? The only cable I connected to the TV Tuner is the coaxial cable. Do I have to pay extra to my cable providers for HD?

Ok I found out that I can use clearQam to watch HD channels. I selected qam to be detected by Windows Media Center, but it doesn't find any channels. I go to edit channels and I can see a large list of channels with locks or no locks but none of them work. The list only has channel numbers and not the actually title. After I select a few unlocked channels they say signal is scrambled. I have Rogers Cable and Windows 7 64 bit... if that makes a difference.
