Is this Windows XP SP3?
I am using a, nova T usb2 running wintv version 7.2.
Have had the program running fine for ages but after one of the last updates the tv will stop and the windows message comes up
'Capture plugin for the USB device failed'
the program does not crash so I press live tv again and the tv buffers and starts again then tv stops, and so on.
I have the latest divers and software. I have also uninstalled and tried my previous known working version using hwc clear.
Does anyone have any ides for what to try next
Cheers

Thanks for replies.
I am using winxp with sp3.
Just installed 1.2a and problem still occurs. Within about two minutes of watching.
I also receive a message while installing:
C\WINDOWS\system32\MSDvbNP.ax is
below the minimum required.
Current version: 6.5.1.900
Would you like wint tv to repair?
I saw thins on another thread and replaced the file manually from the sp3 folder but doesn't seemed to have changed anything. Not sure what this has to do with anything but thought I would mention it.
Here are the minidumps. I put the one from the latest version as well.
Cheers.
that would definately cause issues
what version of psisdecd.dll do you have in C:\windows\system32 also?

this is no good. IT's really out date and is causing the crashes.
See the various thread in here for how to replace with a correct version:

This has worked!
I had to replace the psisrndr.ax file from my own
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder.
And to do this had to stop some of the processes in task manager as it was already in use.
Is this a healthy way to update the file? Working anyway.
Thanks alot for your help.
