Hello folks – be grateful for any help that can be offered

Bought a PVR on Friday – intending to use it with my Mac Pro (via Eye TV) and Sky HD

However have experienced consistant problems trying to get the thing to work – it simply doesn’t appear to be properly recognised as a USB device.
I’ve tried it under OSX (snow leopard), XP (via parallels and bootcamp) and then by fresh installations of both. (thinking perhaps it was a software problem on the computer)

Have no USB issues with anything else, and have tried swapping the USB leads.

It worked for about 30 mins before stopping, and after that it simply wont be recognised.

To me it is almost as if the USB “handshake” is uncertain, perhaps suggesting a faulty PVR

Don’t think I’ve missed anything obvious, and logically other than a hardware (ie PVR) issue I cannot think of a reason why it shouldn’t work.

Its a real shame as it seems to be a nice piece of kit.
