Scheduled recordings start with audio first
This is a problem I'm having. When I schedule a recording, it all works find and plays (almost) fine as well. However, the audio recording starts first and this gives me trouble when editing, as most programs say that they can't start with negative audio and either refuse to edit, or discard the audio.
I do not have this problem with recordings I start manually.

do you have a small recording to show this issue?

Re: Scheduled recordings start with audio first
I believe what you are seeing is where WinTV records the data direct from the broadcast without reencoding it, the recordings do start with both the audio and the video, but due to the way compressed video works it is unable to decode the video until the point when the broadcaster sends out a full frame.
Unfortunately there isn't a lot that can be done about it other than finding a video editor that copes with it. Another option is to use video converting software to reencode the video, many of which are based on the ffmpeg video playback library, which I believe starts the video when the full frame is sent out, ignoring the audio before it.

Re: Scheduled recordings start with audio first
Sorry for the slow reply, But I guess what you say might be right, but the delay varies between a few ms (less than 4) to 1 sec. The problem does seem to have been fixed since 1.2, but haven't tried editing yet. If anything comes up, I will send a file in.
