I have clear footage of it, and i can upload a screen shot which clearly shows the image breaking up on one of the frames. I can also upload footage if you wish.

As for the drivers and software. I haven't got round to testing it yet, but i was going to test out the drivers with different software versions to see which one is causing the fault. To be honest, recent versions have been very poorly made, they are very unstable and the new features are completely useless.

It might be worth running this:
    http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

See whether the break up corresponds to peaks in latency.

    Thanks,

I need to be able to reproduce it here to fix. Can you tell me the exact device you are using, resolution, refresh rate, bit rate etc etc.

Also if you can try perhaps upgrading the driver first from your 2.0 setup to the driver from 2.3, this will be easy to undo for you and will tell us straight away.

I was getting it with a PS3-720p-8mb-Windows XP-Version 2.3 TME with latest drivers- This is what I get....

That appears as a "jump" in the footage, going back to version 2.0 and earlier drivers solves the problem, 2.3 doesn't seem to work at all with the early drivers so it's hard to tell which is causing the problem.

If you need anymore info let me know.

So it's just the driver and not the app causing the issue right? You can use 2.3 app with 2.0 drivers and it works ok?

    Is this a UK PS3?

UK PS3, but the 2.3 App just hangs when you try and use the 2.0 drivers, so it's hard to tell which is the problem, surely it must be the drivers though?

Now you mention it, I remember trying this because at first I couldn't figure out how to get the old drivers on in place of the new ones, DOH !

Anyway, nope, you get the same jump, I can remember posting about not being able to install the old drivers so I know it definately didn't make any difference, so I guess it must be the drivers.....

it can't be the drivers if 2.3 DRIVERS + 2.0 APP has the same problem
