Default Feature Requests - Post Here

Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the new app. We've been working on it for quite a while now, and it's been written from scratch, so all the limitations we had before are now no longer in place.

The feature request you mentioned are already logged to be added in future versions, except adding support for MCE remote which I will log.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Firstly I'd like to meantion the improvements to this version.
    • Improved stability vs WinTV v6
    • The improved interface, Now easier to use... Clearly the developers have shifted the focus on the usabity of the application & made watching Television the main focus. No more clogged up interface!
    • Configuration options are now all in one place. No Primary.exe required!

My Suggestions (I'm sure some of them are already in the works)
    • Improve remote control support or atleast provide a configuration tab to configure what keys do what. (For HID remotes Media Centre style)
    • SignalMonitor - A nice app to have but its really ugly (I assume it was created using VB6 - I noticed the ocx for the progress bar control) maybe add it to the Info tab page of the configuration window?
    • Make the TV Guide window Sizeable?

Most of the suggestions I've listed are only minor & I really recommend everyone upgrade if they can - It's worth it!

Try changing the renderer (and enable HW acceleration)

There is simple re-arranging of channel order available. (to be improved upon in future versions) Configuration -> All Channels. Right Click "Details" and then change the channel number "Preset" to the number you want. IF there is already a channel on that, then the one that was there will go to the end of the list.

Re: Shutdown option - will log this.

    Thanks

Thank you for the useful information, I have sucessfully re-numbered my TV cahnnels. Unfortunately changing the rendering has had no effect on the full screen problem.

    Regards

    Default EPG search and Multitap

I cant believe no one is asking for this, i suppose its because were all use to not having it in VMC or MCE2005. It is possible to have this feature as i have seen it in other applications, i wont mention them, using the hauppauge remote.
So can we please have this option in MCE2005 and VMC?

If not is there a search option in the wintv7 epg? if not can we have that along with multitap?

Sorry, but its unlikely we'll post and maintain a list here. Our master lists of this stuff is in our own internal systems, and is feed from our own internal requirements, feedback from distributors and testers in various countries, feedback on these forums, and from user emails/calls. It'd be a lot of extra work for us to maintain similar lists here, especially when we're busy doing developing and testing new releases etc.

Its actually a good idea for multiple users to post asking for the same features, since it gives us a feel for which features are really wanted by users.

I dont know what information is stored in the todo-lists, but it shouldn't take many hours to create a webpage listing the topics from the DB and a vote-for-this-feature-button. Simple and usefull for both users and developers...

By the way, I'm really looking forward to the new rewrite of WinTV (v7) with analogue support for HVR-products.

I'm sorry, but for a variety of reasons, this isnt going to happen. Where possible we'll try to keep people informed about stuff, but from a business perspective this isnt always possible. We're definitely keen to see posts from users requesting features though. This provides us valuable insights into what users think is missing in the application.
