Default Any plans for a Dual DVB-S2 card now Freesat live?

    Hi,

Do you have any plans to release a dual tuner DVB-S2 card now that Freesat is live?, would like the ability to watch/record 2 shows at once.

    Thanks.

I entered the wondeful world of FreeSat last night and would love this option as well, particularly if it worked seamlessly in Media Center.

The Nova-HD-S2 is cheap enough that you can afford to buy two!

I know that two cards will work in one PC. The only problem is that you will have to have two inputs from a multiple LNB.

Integration with Media Center is a problem on many levels as it doesn't support:
    • DVB-S
    • H.264 HD
    • The freesat EPG
There are workarounds for each of these problems, but I've yet to find anything approaching an easy solution that works.

I could buy two but having only one free PCI slot doesn't help

    Hauppauge, any plans?

    Hi,
If you don't have a spare PCI slot then you can use a Nova S USB 2.0, it does work with the majority of the Free to Air channels (Obviously not DVB-S2channels).

I can try to find out if there are any plans for a Dual DVB-S2, but my personal opion is that it's not worth it at this time as some of the engineers will need to be pulled off some of the on-going projects, which will delay the release of some really things
