Could someone provide step by step instructions to installing this stick under Linux, please?

WinTV 7 is just too unstable for me. I tend to get weak reception at times and the software just crashes or becomes unresponsive. Which other clients can people recommend known to be stable? MediaPortal, MCE are not any options as running XP x64.
