Is there a way to identify HD programs? One nice thing would be to add "All channels", "Digital TV", etc a voice like "HD TV". Is there a way to open hcwChanDB_5.mdb with access and mark all H264 or other HD codecs channels?
Best would be a function to find at any time each HD onair program actually available.

We dont typically know if channels are HD until you're watching them.

At scan time we do know if channels are using H.264, but a lot of countries use H.264 for their standard def channels too, so that is not a good indication that a channel is HD.

Then I have an idea anyway, when WinTV does the channels scan, it eventually display a list of channels with current used codecs SD, H264 etc, that would be good time to save those info in the db, and let me group channels by them at least using Access.

In the UK HD channels are identified by their plain language description. ie BBC HD, BBC One HD. Use Open Office. or Microsoft Access to open the *.mdb file. You should then be able to rearrange the channels.

Of course you can rearrange the channels using the tools built into WinTV Vx's configuration tools.
