In case anyone else has ever considered setting this up, I figured I'd share this possibility because I personally think this is a VERY interesting feature that works like a charm if you want true wireless LIVE tv...
Since WinTV Extend 2.3 and higher it is possible to include the TV/radio streams (digital and analog) directly as source streams for your DLNA server of choice.
(I used the PS3MS Server Software as an example, but similar settings exist on Tversity, XBMC, etc)
Usually (on any self respecting DLNA server) you can enter new audio / video streams.
Add a stream like you would otherwise, but use the following url as stream source :
http://localhost:7799/stream?channel=1 (the channel number = as it appears in your channel list on Wintv7)
in PS3MS's WEB.CONF an entry line pointing to the Vitaya TV channel would look something like this
videostream.Web,TV=Vitaya,http://localhost:7799/stream?channel=10,http://img.yelo.be/uploads/channels/small/vitaya.png
You will then see the Vitaya Icon in the Media Server Folder WEB/TV. Clicking on it starts the VITAYA tv stream.
You can change channels to any stream you include in the WEB.CONF by simply selecting another icon in the foder. WintTV extend takes care of the rest. You can freely mix DVB-C,-T, Analog & Sattelite channels, no problem.
Quality is EXCELLENT (I noticed no degradation during HD playback on remote device)
There is a slight delay before playback starts when zapping -depending on your network- but it's not so bad. (comparable to zapping on Windows Media Center)
Enjoy !
