WinTV 7 v2.4c - Schedule Conflict Not Working

Since upgrading to v2.4c I have noted that Schedule Conflicts are not being identified.

Please investigate.

Can you give an example? What card do have? Which source are you trying to record from?

I am finding conflicts that do not exist. When I started to enter programmes for more than 7 days ahead (infact on 10th anything entered from 15th onwards) it refuses to allow these to be saved. Worked okay in 2.4 but not now in 2.4c.

By changing the time to a month in advance and or reducing the time to a few minutes I could save the details. When editing it doesn't care, even if there is a conflict.

On the 4400/930C computer it also refused to accept overlapping recordings (two Freeview channels only). Shifting the date and then editing worked.

Working out the duplicate time with weekly and daily programmes in the mix is non-trival, but the currently code ends up worse than the way 2.4 processed it.

How many cards do you have in the PC?

tried to add a programme for 14th November, Changed the start time and reduced the programme length - accepted. Edited the entry back to the the failed original - accepted.

Source time, (exactly) - what recording was already set (what time date/length)

and most importantly your channel database.

Finally can you attach the log.txt from the session you try to add the recording

database is 9Mb zipped too large to attach with a 5Mb limit.http://www.mcmullon.com/db.zip

really? try WinRAR, it should be being compacted each reboot also. What size it it before zipping?

I didn't see the issue in the log.txt It prevented the schedule 23:58 -> 00:02 correctly because "The Big Bang Theory 317" was going to record.

It then allowed this one as nothing else was in the way.

Can you give me the specific example of where it allows a recording to happen that it shouldn't?

As from the screen image I originally entered 17:58 14th NOVEMBER, then changed the time and saved as 06:58 and then edited to 17:58. "The Big Bang Theory 317" is to record on 14th OCTOBER, not November.

Sorry if I'm being dense....so there is no problem with conflicts when placing a recording for the first time, just when editing an existing recording to move it to another time?

I tried to set a recording on 14th November at 17:58. This is not allowed. To save the recording I had to change to 06:58 and reduce then reduce the length to 4 minutes. I could then edit this to 17:58 and set the time to 64 minutes.

The log does not included the edit changes - when I edit it to change the recording to record Film4 at 17:58, 14th Nov for 64 minutes when E4 is already set for 17:55 for 60 minutes. The 4000 card can not record two channels at the same time.

I was able to reproduce your issue when there is a weekly recording say Friday 21st 9am - 10am you cannot schedule on Friday 14th 9am - 10am. We'll fix.
