when are some new updates coming for the wintv extend 2.4 cd coming? and also the wintv extend iphone app coming?

Since making the iPad/iPhone apps available a few weeks ago I've been working on other unrelated WinTV stuff. I'll get back to iPad/iPhone development soon though.

Also waiting to see wait happens with iPhone 5 this month, since iOS 5 may prompt some changes.

what about the wintv iphone app? it would be nice to have a place where you can put in both ip adresses for wifi and remote instead of just the one we have now for wifi

Good to hear. Truthfully, recording controls on the iPhone would be the most used feature here (even more then streaming since watching video on such a small device doesn't seem very appealing and leaves me with neck cramps ;D).

Is the current iphone app compatible with the iOS5? You should have access to the GM by now.

I do like what you did providing the window resize option for SD and HD.

I've spent pretty much the entire last week trying to fix it. I've made some progress, but there is still some issues I'm working through.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get that breakthrough soon. I actually use the iPhone app quite extensively.

Not only does the app not work, but streaming via the browser is also broken in ios5 . Pretty much no way to use extend with ios5 right now.

I've been working on an updated version of the Extend software (running on user's PC) to correct it, and we're currently testing it. I'd hoped to already have had a fix out before iOS5 was released, but it required more substantial changes than expected.

I will try and post an early beta release up tonight before I go (as I'm off tommorrow) for anyone that wants to try it.

Then we'll hopefully have a more general beta on Monday/Tuesday on the web site and a new full web download later that week but it won't be posted until we are happy with the performance. There were some major changes to streaming.
