Unfortunately the HVR-900 is only usable for digital in WinTV7. The later HVR-900H is usable for both analog and digital. Analog audio on the HVR-900 works differently to every other device, and it was going to be too much work to support this device (which hasnt been manufactured in years).

The older WinTV6 application is fully compatible with this device though if you need this functionality.

It is impossible for me to go back to the old WinTV6 already as I quite like WinTV7. :)

Nevertheless, I am just using this device as a IR receiver, so it's not too much if WinTV7 doesn't support analog recording for this device. :)

Ok - good. I'm glad you like WinTV7, and aren't depending desperately on analog from your 900.
