Hi,

Just wondering can anyone help with this. I have in my system:

Nova-HD S2
Nova-DT 500

When I connect the IR sensor to the Nova-HD, nothing happens. When I connect to the Nova-DT, it seems to bypass Hauppauge's IR32 application and act as an MCE remote. It opens Windows Media Centre, and ignores all the NPVR mappings.

The IR32 application seems to start and sit in the System Tray okay, but doesn't do anything. I want to use key mappings for GBPVR. Previously worked fine in same machine with an older Nova-T 90002.

Have tried both IR ports, disabling MCE and also updating to latest IR32.

Anyone any thoughts on this strange one?

Thanks :)

The Nova-TD-500 has some built in defaults for when IR32 isn't running (or isn't assigned to run on the right IR controller in your case)

IR32 is trying to use the HD-S2 still.

You can customise the start menu shortcut to force which IR controller to use

Thanks Mr X,

Do you happen to know which switch I apply to make IR32 use the Nova TD 500? I don't seem to be able to get it to work with the Nova-S2.

Thanks :)

edit the Startup Menu shortcut for "AutoStart IR"

change from

"C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTV\Ir.exe" /QUIET

to

"C:\Program Files (x86)\WinTV\Ir.exe" /IRHCWHID /QUIET
