No channels

Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I'm a complete newbie with tuner cards. I've recently purchased wintv-hvr 1300. Unfortunately the tuner can't seem to find any channels. I've tried using various software (gb-pvr, descaler,sesamtv etc) but none of them work. If this was the Freeview channels (I live in the uk) than I could understand as those signals are weaker, but the analogue channels don't seem to come in either. I'am using the same antena I've been using for my tv for years and I could allways get a really good signal with it even though its a small one.I'm pretty sure the area I live in has a decent analogue signal. Could anyone help me out as to why the tuner card doesn't want to receive any signals that a tv's built in tuner can without issues. Is it a setting, a software problem or a hardware limitiation? I am running Win xp profesional, not mce.Any help would be appreciated. :confused:

Hi, thanks for the quick response. No I haven't, as it didn't come with my tuner card (media center edition), thought I wouldn't need it with all the free options out there :S. Did remove my video card that was sitting a few millimeters away from the tuner card. That seemed to help somewhat, guess it was nuking my tuner with interference :p . But still not quite there yet. The quality is barely viewable, had to enter the frequencies manually to get the channels as auto tune couldn't detect them.
