Hello,
I do have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1900 which is an USB 2.0 based Hybrid TV watch and record DVB-T digital terrestrial TV or analogue TV card.
Right now am using it to watch & record Analogue TV only (watch it on my workstation; such as recording a race or Tennis match etc) but my parents have a DTH connection for their LCD TV. Now, am planning to go Digital and full HD without any TV (new workstation has Asus 24" LCD).
My question is about setting up Free to Air channels using this card:
a) Does anyone use such a card to receive Free to Air channels with or without a DTH provider?
b) If the answer to (a) is NOthen should I need to buy a power Digital Antenna to receive Free to Air channels such as Sky Sports, UK if I choose not to go with ANY DTH provider (i.e., by aligning the dish and scan for FTA channels and so on?).
Any information in this regard is highly appreciated :)
Thank you so much
