Flashing power light

I just bought myself a hd pvr (1228), and i dont get it to work. The light next to the powerbutton just flashes constantly, and nothing happens when i push the powerbutton.
Is my unit broken?

Unfortunately it does sound like its dead, never seen that behaviour before. Contact the retailer and get it returned i would say.

I did that this morning, Unfortunatelly the retailer doesnt belive me when i say that Steven Toth guided me by mail during the installation, and then he also confirmed it as broken!
So now i have to wait until they get it back, then they will test it, then they will return it and then i will get a new one!
Tried contacting hauppauge in sweden, but they werent to helpful either.

I personally think that if a customer recieves a broken product on delivery, (or at least says so) He should get a new one shipped instantly! If sometimes the ccustomer is wrong and it wasnt something wrong, atleast they have a happy customer!

Well, we will see if i get a new one before next year!?
