Where do I start . . .
I am running Windows Vista x64 (new machine)
I have 2 cables 1) an analogue TV aerial cable from a roof top aerial & 2) a sky cable running from Ext socket on sky + box through eye into Win Tvcard.
On both synario's loaded all drivers and software from disc supplied, in item 1 it finds 5 channels and in item 2 finds 1 channel (68) when you go to watch the channel it comes up buffering, you wait about 10 seconds and it comes up with no signal.
To test i have plugged each aerial cable in turn into the rear of a tv or another PC with a TV card built into it then i get 1) 5 channels, all with pictures, and 2) 1 channel, with picture, which then i use the sky remote and the eye for all other sky channels.
I have had assistance from a Hauppager technical support and done the following :-
Downloaded the latest WinTV 7 software from the www.hauppauge.co.uk - Drivers 2.124.27191.1
As admin run cmd
cd\windows\SysWOW64
then run
“regsvr32 psisdecd.dll”
Tried to open WinTV but still experiencing the same problem.
I then did the following
1 - uninstall everything (drivers and software, hcwclear.exe)
2 - restart pc
3 - install drivers (HcwDriverInstall.exe)
4 - install WinTV (Setup.exe)
5 - After installation close all processes WinTV
6 - Click Start menu of windows and run type in "cmd" and press OK
Type:
From the C:\
CD\ Program Files\WinTV\TVServer
Typed in the following pressing return / enter after each entry.
CaptureBase.exe -regserver
CaptureGenPCI.exe -regserver
CaptureGenUSB.exe -regserver
HauppaugeTVServer.exe -regserver
7 - restart pc
8 - open WinTv7
And after all that it still didn't work !!! :( :( :(
Any help to get this hardware / software working as it should would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
