View Full Version : Can my Laptop run the HD PVR?

the specs are:

Processor petium Dual-core mobile processor
(1.46ghz, 1mb L2 cache, 533mhz FSB)

OS: Windows vista home premium (32bit)

Memory: 2gb

HDD: 160gb

Vidoe card: up to 348MB of dynamic video memory
(mobile intel 965 express chipset family)

plus im hearing alot people having probs with the HD PVR like it wont detect the USB or wont reocrd etc... as well as some of the things ive seen on these forums

You should be ok recording, but viewing back may be a problem. The intel graphics chipset aint the best, and it really struggled on one of my old laptops with it.

i got it but when i got to load up the record feature it just crash's an goes the capture has stopped workin an i havent even pressed record!

it says this once you load it up, an i cant even find the HD PVR in the capture source

now ive got it to work but when i record in MP4 the VLC player only show the top half of the video?

Does it do the same in the Arcsoft Theatre software?

no it runs dead smooth in that video player

I havent tried the recordings on VLC, but i expect that it just cant handle the stream.

alot of people seem to be having this problem that when you use other media players/upload to youtube after recording in MP4 format, the video only shows the very top left half. Recording in M2TS solves this, despite the player saying its Playstation 3, even if your using an xbox M2TS works perfectly so id suggest using this.

yes probably the best advice to follow right now.

Alot of people have updated the software and its very buggy.
