After my recording problems I tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, including my graphics card. Now I have updated each of the software and drives concerned. When I get TME started, I often get the error message that the device is being used by another application (no it isn't). After random acts of trying to fix this, I eventually get passed it and see the signal being received in the capture module. And then within 2 seconds, it freezes. It seems to lose signal. I don't know what is going on but I'm getting very frustrated with the whole thing now.

I had exactly the same thing on my DELL 810 laptop running Windows 7 RC 32bit. I decided to use my 4Core Phenom 2 Windows 7 RC 64Bit box upstairs at the end of a 15m USB cable (3 x 5m boosters) and it's 100% more stable. As I write this I am 1:20 into a recording :)
I have had it lock up but only when fiddling about at the start of a recording or when the screen saver blanked the screen, so I turned that off. Once it's going it's OK now.
Maybe machine not up to the job, dodgy USB cable, who knows? I still have to toggle it on and off far too often though.
